Police on Tuesday released the identities of two young men shot to death over the weekend in Baltimore County.
Brandon N. Jackson, 18, a senior at Parkville High School, was found shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of an Exxon gas station at 7301 McLean Blvd. in Parkville, just north of the city line. Jackson, who lived on the 3100 block of Sixth Avenue in Parkville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police statement said people were seen fleeing the scene toward Dutch Village, a residential community, but gave no other details.
In the county's other weekend shooting, officers from the Wilkens precinct, alerted by a citizen's call at 6:37 a.m. Saturday, found a man dead in a field near the intersection of Illinois Avenue and Annapolis Road in Lansdowne. He had been shot several times. Police said he was 20-year-old Vincent I. Thomas, who lived on the 300 block of Lori Drive in Glen Burnie.
The police statement said there was no known motive or information about suspects in either case.
The incidents were the third and fourth homicides in the county so far this year, according to a member of the Police Department's homicide unit.
