Police identify men killed, wounded in Rosedale shooting

Baltimore County police are looking for a man who fled the scene of a Rosedale shooting early Wednesday morning that left one man dead and another seriously wounded, according to a spokesman.

Officers arrived at an apartment in the 5200 block of Daybrook Circle about 1 a.m. and found one of its residents, Leroy Antonio Austin, 22, with a life-threatening gunshot wound, said Baltimore County police spokesman Cpl. Mike Hill. He was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in serious condition.

James Russell Evans, 25, who also lived in the apartment, was discovered outside the apartment with a broken ankle, which occurred when he jumped out an apartment window, Hill said.

Police also found the body of Willie Alexander Millings, 33, of the 4700 block of Park Heights Ave. inside the apartment. He had been shot, according to police.

Investigators believe that a confrontation broke out among Austin, Evans, Millings and another man who fled the scene, Hill said. Millings is considered a suspect, and it's unclear who shot him, the spokesman said.

"They are waiting on ballistic evidence and other evidence to try to confirm who shot Willie Millings," Hill said. Police know of no motive for the shooting, the spokesman said.
