Police investigating suspicious death in Dundalk

Baltimore County police were investigating the death of a man whose body was found early Sunday in a van in the parking lot of a Dundalk social club.

On Monday, the man was identified as Kenneth Paul Hollar, 55, of the 2300 block of Murray Road in Sparrows Point. A Baltimore County police spokesman, Lt. Robert McCullough, said detectives were treating Hollar's death as suspicious but were awaiting the result of an autopsy before declaring how he died.

Police were called just after 3:20 a.m. Sunday after someone noticed Hollar slumped over in the van, with the driver's door ajar, in the lot of the Trial Club, in the 8400 block of Cove Road.

Officers found "marks" on Hollar's body and believe he had not been dead long, police Cpl. George Erhardt of the county department said Sunday. Medics saw no signs of rigor mortis, and attempted to revive him when they arrived.
