A tree-trimming company employee was killed by a falling branch Thursday morning at a Lutherville-Timonium home, according to Baltimore County fire officials.

The man was one of several employees of the A Busy Beaver Tree Co. working to remove a 100-foot tree in the 11300 block of Woodland Drive, according to the fire department.

As the tree was falling, it struck a second tree, part of which fell on the victim, fire officials said. Medics called to the scene at 8:48 a.m. pronounced him dead on arrival.

The victim's name has not yet been released.
