Police seek female robber who hit woman near Towson U.

Baltimore County police are searching for a woman who robbed a 21-year-old woman at gunpoint at York Road near Towson University last month.

The woman was walking south on York Road, near Burke Avenue, when another woman walked past her and asked her for directions. She then pulled a handgun, struck the victim in the head and demanded money, police said. The victim's purse, credit cards and cell phone, were taken during the incident, which occurred about 2:05 a.m. May 31, police said.

The other woman fled on foot and is described as a 20- to 24-year-old woman, 5-foot-6, weighing 150 pounds, with straight red hair and a fair complexion.

Police said the suspect's image was captured on a surveillance camera while she was attempting to use the victim's credit card.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-2587.
