Baltimore County police identify man shot in Halethorpe

Baltimore County police have identified a man who died after he was shot Friday night in Halethorpe, a department spokesman said.

Reginald Keith Mack Jr., 24, of the 3800 block of McDowell Lane was standing in that block at 11:48 p.m. Friday when a suspect walked up to him and shot him multiple times in the chest, said police Lt. Robert McCullough.

Mack was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:37 a.m., McCullough said.

According to Maryland court records, Mack was scheduled to appear in Baltimore County Circuit Court in June on handgun and assault charges.
