Shooting in Owings Mills ruled a homicide, county police say

A Baltimore County resident died early Saturday morning after he was shot Friday night at an Owings Mills apartment complex, police said today.

According to Baltimore County Police Lt. Robert McCullough, the shooting took place at 63 Straw Hat Road in the Morningside Apartments. The victim was Moses Baker, 22, a resident of an apartment at that address.

According to McCullough, officers responded to a call at 11:07 p.m. Friday and found the victim lying just inside his apartment, shot in the upper body. He was taken to Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, where he was pronounced dead at 12:20 a.m. Saturday.

McCullough said police have no suspects and do not know of a motive for the shooting. He said they are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-800-7-LOCKUP. There is a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.
