A trial date has been set for two women charged with disorderly conduct in an altercation with a Baltimore County police officer last fall.

Kelli D. Oliver and Talaya R. Kirkland - the daughter and granddaughter, respectively, of Baltimore County Councilman Kenneth N. Oliver - will be tried on April 21 in District Court in Catonsville.

The case will be handled by a prosecutor from the state's attorney's office in Baltimore City, Haven Kodeck, instead of a member of the county prosecutor's office.

The two women were arrested on Sept. 14 after they flew into an obscenity-laden rage against a police officer who pulled them over on Old Court Road in Randallstown after noting that a rear light on their car was not working. In addition to the disorderly conduct charges, Oliver, 40, was charged with second-degree assault and resisting arrest, and Kirkland, 22, with obstruction.

The officer, Gregory Graves, said the women threatened to have him fired, and that Oliver bit, scratched and kicked him.
