A 16-year-old boy was shot in the lower back in the 6100 block of Saint Regis Road in Rosedale Friday afternoon, according to Baltimore County Police.

Police say the boy was taken to Bayview Hospital about 4:45 p.m. His condition is unknown but he is expected to survive.

A police spokesman said detectives have not determined a motive for the shooting. No arrests have been made.
