Firefighters rescued people from three vehicles in northern Baltimore County Monday night after heavy rains caused flooding in the area, according to county officials.
Rescue crews were called to the area of Ruxton Road and Ellenham Ave. at about 10:20 p.m., a fire department dispatcher said. No one was injured.
According to the county's public safety Twitter account, five people were being evaluated by EMS Monday night.
Central Maryland was under a severe thunderstorm watch until midnight Monday, causing heavy downpours and strong winds.
In Anne Arundel County, fire department officials said four people were taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center after their boat overturned near Sandy Point State Park around 7 p.m. Monday. The two adults and two children had minor injuries, officials said.
