A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a roadway in Owings Mills on Friday evening, Baltimore County Police said on Saturday.
Franklin Akins, 22, of Owings Mills was crossing outside the crosswalk westbound on Lakeside Boulevard from Common Brook Road when he was struck by a 1988 Honda Accord traveling northbound along Lakeside Boulevard, police said..
Akins was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma, where he listed in serious condition. The driver of the Honda, Devonte Claggett, was not injured, McCullough said.
The crash is being investigated by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team
