Gwynn Oak house collapses from fire

A fire that began in the attic of a house in the 3600 block of Kelox Road in the Gwynn Oaks area of Baltimore County lead the building to cave in, county public safety officials reported.

The fire, which began at about 3 p.m. Friday, was extremely hot and through radiant heat ignited the house next door, the officials said.

There were no injuries to residents or firefighters from the fire, which caused the Cape Cod style bungalow to collapse into the basement.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
