Baltimore County police have identified the victim of a fatal single vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday night when a car struck a tree in Essex.
Jerome Matthew Ziemski, 32, of the 500-block of Cranford Road in Baltimore died after the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette he was driving crashed at Hyde Park Road and South Marlyn Avenue about 7:45 p.m. Christmas Eve.
Police investigators said Ziemski, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was traveling north on Hyde Park when the car left the roadway, overturned and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said Wednesday that the cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
