Baltimore County police seeking man charged with witness intimidation

A man awaiting trial for allegedly firing a gun into a group of juveniles and later intimidating witnesses to the incident is being sought by Baltimore County police after his bail was revoked.

Police say they have been searching for Ronald Albert Evans, 45, of the 900 block of Chesaco Avenue in Rosedale since Dec. 5.

Evans was facing charges for the incident in which he allegedly fired the gun multiple times in the area of Rossville Boulevard and Franklin Square Drive on June 27. Police said two groups had been fighting when Evans pulled out gun. No one was injured in incident.

Evans was charged with attempted first-degree murder and released on $100,000 bail.

In November, police alleged that Evans had threatened to harm witnesses against him and officers obtained another arrest warrant charging him with witness intimidation. On Dec. 5 bail his bail was revoked and another warrant was issued for his arrest.

Evans trial is scheduled for Jan. 15, and the department's warrant apprehension task force continues to search for him.
