A man was struck and killed by a CSX Corp. train in Lansdowne on Saturday morning, according to Baltimore County Police.
Officers were called to train tracks near the intersection of Lansdowne Road and Hammonds Ferry Road shortly after 8 a.m. and found the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Officer Shawn Vinson, a police spokesman.
Police concluded the man was struck by the train as it was passing through the area, Vinson said. An investigation into the incident was ongoing as of Saturday afternoon, Vinson said.
A CSX spokesman did not immediately return a request for comment.
The man has not been publicly identified.
