Cockeysville suspicious package turns out to be piece of wood

The Baltimore County police bomb squad was called to Cockeysville on Thursday for a suspicious package that turned out to be a block of wood with tape wrapped around it.

Officers were called at 10:55 a.m. to Wight Avenue, near York Road where the wood was found near a telephone pole, a police spokeswoman said. The roads were closed while police investigated, but they reopened around noon.
