Woodlawn kidnapping, sexual assault suspects sought

A teenage girl was kidnapped by four men in Woodlawn, driven to an unfamiliar location and sexually assaulted on Nov. 1, police said.

At about 3 p.m. that day, the 15-year-old was walking in the 1800 block of Woodlawn Drive when men in a teal, four-door sedan approached, according to a statement Wednesday from the Baltimore County Police Department.

Two of the men were wearing ski masks, police said.

One of the unmasked men began talking to the victim, displayed a handgun and then forced her into the car, according to police.

The men covered the victim's eyes and drove her to an unfamiliar place, where one of the men sexually assaulted her after the others left the car, police said. The victim was then left in a house for about an hour before all four men drove her, blindfolded, to Woodlawn Drive at Kriel Street.

Because the victim was a Woodlawn High School student on her way home when the assault occurred, the principal is sending out recorded message to the home phones of parents asking that they tell their children to be particularly vigilant, according to Phyllis Reese, a school system spokeswoman.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP.
