Three people injured in Reisterstown crash, Baltimore County police say

Three people were injured after a crash involving two cars in Reisterstown on Thursday afternoon, according to Baltimore County police.

The crash happened just before 4 p.m. at Hanover Pike (Route 30) and Old Hanover Road, according to police spokeswoman Julia Hardgrove.

A Honda Accord was traveling north on Hanover Pike near Kemp Road when it crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Ford Expedition, Baltimore County Police spokeswoman Officer Jennifer Peach said in an email.

The driver of the Ford was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma with life-threatening injuries as a priority one patient — the most critical category. Two passengers in the Ford were also taken to hospitals with serious injuries. One was taken to Shock Trauma and another was taken to another local hospital.

The driver of the Honda, the car’s only occupant, refused medical treatment, Peach said.

State police shut down Hanover Pike between Old Hanover Road and Butler Road as medics respond to the scene.

The victims’ conditions were not immediately available Friday morning.
