Baltimore County police say an officer shot a man near Dundalk Sunday night after responding to a call of a man threatening to kill himself with a knife about 9:20 p.m.
Robert McCullough, a county police spokesman, said the man attacked the officer with a knife and the officer fired. Police had not yet released the name of the man or the police officer, but McCullough said he was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The incident took place in the 7000 block of Berkshire Road.
Baltimore County police investigators and the internal affairs section will investigate the shooting. "We investigate all officer involved shootings," McCullough said.
