After fighting with the father of her child, an Essex woman contacted her boyfriend and his brother, who shot and killed him, and injured two others at a Middle River bus stop last month, Baltimore County police said.
Michael Desmon Martin, 22, Mikal A. Martin, 20, both from Prince George's County, and Laquesha Maria Lewis, 24, are charged with first degree murder after plotting to kill the father of her child near a bus stop on Eastern Boulevard near Kingston Road just before 11:50 p.m. on Feb. 18, police said.
Lewis and the victim, Robert Michael Holiday, of the 2300 block of Ashland Avenue, had a verbal and physical fight earlier that evening at her home, police said.
After he left, Lewis sent him a threatening text message, police said. She spent 40 minutes talking on the phone with Holiday and texted Michael Martin information about Holiday's whereabouts. Police said Lewis and Michael Martin were in a relationship.
Later that night, Holiday and two friends, Shyteirra S. Deas of the 4300 block of East Lombard Street and Lavar M. Young of the 2900 block of Dunmurry Road, were standing near a bus stop at Eastern Boulevard when the two Martin brothers approached the group when shots were fired. Police are not sure if one or both of the Martin brothers fired shots.
Police later executed a search and seizure warrant and recovered ballistic evidence linking the Martin brothers to the crime scene.
The Martin brothers, of the 2300 block of Barkley Place, in Suitland and Lewis, of the 200 block of Shagbark Road in Essex also face two counts of attempted first degree murder and are being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
In February 2011, Michael Martin had been found guilty of theft under $10,000 and had several other burglary charges dropped, online court records show. He had his entire five-year sentence suspended and received three years supervised probation.
Mikal Martin was scheduled to appear in Baltimore County Circuit Court in June for theft, assault and resisting arrest charges, records show.
