One person was killed and another injured in a Middle River house fire Wednesday morning, firefighters said.
At about 5:30 a.m., the Baltimore County Fire Department responded to a heavy fire in a home in the 2100 block of Cockspur Road.
By the time firefighters arrived, one man had escaped from the home, said Lt. Travis Francis, spokesman for the fire department. He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A woman sustained fatal injuries in the blaze.
The fire was put under control later Wednesday morning.
