Five people were injured in a house fire in Baltimore County on Sunday afternoon, fire officials said, and authorities expect all to survive.

The fire, in the 600 block of Dale Avenue in Fullerton, was placed under control by about 50 firefighters around 3 p.m., according to Lt. Paul Massarelli, a county fire spokesman. Firefighters arrived at the home about 4:18 p.m. to find fire showing through the roof, front and rear of the building.

Five occupants of the house were taken to hospitals with injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening, mostly appearing to be smoke inhalation, Massarelli said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. More information on the conditions of the injured people was not immediately available.
