Baltimore County police continue to search for a 24-year-old man who they believe shot his girlfriend's ex-husband with a BB gun at Hereford High School in Parkton Wednesday night.
Police on Thursday morning said they have an arrest warrant for the suspect, Ernesto Alexander Piche, of the 19900 block of Gunpowder Road in Manchester.
The victim had gone to the school to see his son, where he and Piche got into an argument in the parking lot next to some athletic fields, police said. During the argument, police said Piche struck the victim with a BB or pellet gun and then shot him point blank with it.
Piche fled in his girlfriend's car, headed south on York Road, where he struck another vehicle, causing minor damage. He then turned onto Belfast Road, drove off the road and struck a tree. He left the vehicle and fled on foot.
After searching the area, police were still not able to find him.
