An 18-year-old man died days after his car struck two trees on Joppa Road in Perry Hall, a crash that also killed a passenger Baltimore County police said.
James Richard Murphy, the driver of the 2001 Volkswagen Jetta that veered off Joppa Road near Brewers Drive around 9 p.m. Friday, was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he died Saturday afternoon. His passenger, Nathan Alexander Chappelle, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating but have not yet determined a cause of the crash.
