Baltimore County police are investigating a shooting outside a Parkville bar early Friday, and another in Essex on Thursday night.
Police were called at 1:49 a.m. to the Oakleigh Station bar in the 7100 block of Darlington Drive for a report of shots fired, and about 20 minutes later they learned a man had walked into an area hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police said he had been in the parking lot of the bar when a fight broke out, and an unknown suspect opened fire into the crowd, striking the victim multiple times in the mid-body. He got into his car and fled.
He remains at the hospital in stable condition. A message left for bar management was not returned Friday afternoon.
Hours earlier, at 10:22 p.m. Thursday, police were called to the unit block of Rumelia Circle in Essex for a shooting, where they found man suffering from a single gunshot wound to the body. He was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
Police said he was walking in the area of Sandalwood Road and Rumelia Circle when he got into an argument with several suspects, when two suspects withdrew handguns and began to shoot at him. He then ran from the scene.
The victim remains in an area hospital in stable condition.
Both shootings are being investigated by the violent crime's unit. Police did not provide information on suspects in the shootings.
