Defender's Day events planned for Balto. Co.

Reenactors from as far away as Ontario are set to gather at Fort Howard Park on the North Point Peninsula this weekend to mark Defender's Day.

They will reenact the War of 1812's Battle of North Point, which occurred in 1814 when British troops were moving toward Baltimore. The Defenders Day celebration is free and will feature 1812 musical performances, historical demonstrations, and children's games and activities.
