Baltimore Co. police car strikes man, woman pushing stroller

Two adults pushing a child in a stroller were struck by a police cruiser in Baltimore County late Saturday, emergency officials said Sunday morning.

The incident occurred in the 6600 block of Security Boulevard as an officer responded to a report of an assault at Hot Skates on Whitehead Road in the Woodlawn area.

Desaree Tasha Blick, 18, of the 100-block of Courtland Road, and Stephon Nathaniel Beale, 18, of the 6700-block of Park Heights Ave., have been identified as the pedestrians struck by the police car. The infant has been identified as Deomonte Terrell Blick, 9 months old. All three are expected to survive their injuries.

Blick was transported to University of Maryland, Shock Trauma Center. Beale and Deomonte were transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital. The infant appeared to have suffered no injuries and was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

The officer involved was not injured.

Investigators said the officer had lights and sirens activated, according to police. An investigation is ongoing.

The time of the crash and details surrounding the initial call for an assault were not immediately available.
