Baltimore County Police have charged a 49-year-old man with sexually abusing two teenagers in 1997 when he worked as a teacher and youth group leader at the Greater Grace Church on Moravia Park Drive in East Baltimore.

Raymond Fernandez, of the unit block of Crosswall Court in Nottingham, was arrested Friday morning and was being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police said.

Police said one of the two victims recently came forward and accused Fernandez of abusing him during youth group functions and at the suspect's home. Detectives learned that Fernandez had allegedly abused a second teen associated with the church youth group, also in 1997, police said.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims and ask anyone with information to contact the Crimes Against Children Unit at 410-853-3000.
