An Owings Mills man died after a crash early Sunday on Baltimore's beltway, Maryland State Police said.
The crash occurred at 3:04 a.m. on the inner loop of Interstate 695 in the area of Interstate 95 near Catonsville.
Terrod Raymond Roberts, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene by fire officials. He had stopped in the roadway in his 2002 Honda Odyssey van and was rear-ended by a Ford truck, according to a news release from state police.
The driver of the truck, a 38-year-old man, was arrested at the scene "for the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol," police said. State police said a breath test indicated the man had a blood alcohol concentration of .11 — beyond the state's legal limit. He had not been charged as of Sunday morning, police said.
The crash is under investigation, police said.
