Man charged with murder after woman, dog found dead in Owings Mills in February

A 26-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder after the bodies of a woman and a dog were found in an Owings Mills home in late February.

Baltimore County police say Damon Aaron Tyler Jr. of Reisterstown is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Tyler is accused of killing Mindi Brooks, 49, whose body police found in a home in the 300 block of Lantana Drive on Feb. 26.

Police say Brooks had been shot at least once. Her dog was also found dead in the home, according to police.

Police ask anyone with information to call 410-307-2020. Callers who submit a tip to Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP may remain anonymous and could receive a reward of up to $2,000 for tips that lead to charges.
