Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred Thursday night on I-95 in Baltimore County.
According to police, a Honda Accord and a scooter were involved in a crash at 11:53 p.m. on the southbound side of the highway near the Baltimore Beltway interchange.
Both occupants of the scooter were injured, one fatally, police said, adding that the injured rider was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The driver of the Accord, the vehicle's sole occupant, was not hurt, police said.
Police have not determined which person was driving the scooter at the time of the accident. None of the victims' names have been released, and state police said Friday afternoon that they were still working on identifications.
The accident occurred near Exit 49A in Baltimore County. Southbound I-95 was closed until about 6 a.m. Friday morning.
