Two people died and another three were seriously injured in a three-car pileup at York Road and Thornton Mill Road in Sparks Thursday night.
Two of the injured people were taken to area hospitals and the third was taken to shock trauma, according to Baltimore County police and fire departments.
Portions of York Road in Sparks that had been closed on Thursday night as police investigated a fatal accident have been reopened by Friday morning.
