Officials reopened all lanes on I-895 before the I-295 entrance ramp around 11:50 a.m. Sunday after investigating a suspicious vehicle and declaring it safe, the Maryland Transportation Authority Police said.
Police had shut down part of I-895 northbound near I-295 Sunday around 8:30 a.m. during the investigation. Traffic on I-895 southbound was being diverted to I-295.
The Baltimore County Fire Department assisted in the investigation, said Corp. Edward Bartlinski, a spokesman for the MDTA police.
No traffic backups were reported.
