Baltimore County police say that a Parkville man died after falling off a boat in Browns Cove in the Essex area on Friday evening.
Police and fire crews responded to a call for an open-water rescue just after 7:00 p.m. Members of the Baltimore County Police Marine Unit arrived on the scene and pulled a man out of the water.
Officials said it appeared he had fallen out of his boat in rough water. He has been identified as 62-year-old Lee Anthony Dregier of the 2900 block of Alden Road.
Dregier was transported to an area hospital where he later died, officials said. The incident is being investigated by the Baltimore County Police Marine Unit.
