No arrest made in shooting of man helping friend to car

Hours after informing elected officials and neighborhood leaders of an arrest in last week's shooting of Zebadiah Drinkwater near Hampden, Baltimore police said that information was erroneous and no arrests have been made.

Detective Jeremy Silbert, a police spokesman, said officials were still sorting out how the information mistakenly got released to the public. In an email sent just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sgt. Ronaldo Morales Jr. of the Northern District Neighborhood Services unit told elected officials and community leaders an arrest had been made "just within the last hour" but did not name a suspect.
