A man was shot in the stomach in the 2100 block of Echodale Ave. on Saturday evening, city police said.
Officers responded to the scene in the Hamilton Hills neighborhood about 8:30 p.m. after receiving a report of gunshots fired, according to spokesman Detective Jeremy Silbert.
The man was taken to a local hospital, he said.
There have been several shooting deaths this year in a neighborhood not known for violent crime near the Baltimore County line.
In January, a 38-year-old autistic man who lived with his mother was killed in front of their home in the 5600 block of Plymouth Road. In June, a 25-year-old man was shot in the 2200 block of Fleetwood Ave. and a 23-year-old man was killed in the 5500 block of Grindon Ave.
No other information, including the victim's condition, was immediately available about the Saturday evening shooting.
Investigators were still on the scene at 11 p.m., Silbert said.
