Amid pounding rain, city police were investigating an afternoon shooting in Northwest Baltimore.
Details were scarce, but police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi confirmed that officers were called to the 3300 block of Belle Ave., in the Ashburton neighborhood, for a report of a double shooting. Officers found one man who had been shot in the shoulder and stomach; police later said a second man had also been wounded.
The victims were transported to Sinai Hospital, and their conditions were not immediately known.
