Shots were fired on city police officers shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Midtown-Edmondson neighborhood, said Det. Nicole Monroe, a police spokeswoman.
The armed suspect was taken into custody, she said, and no one was hurt. The incident took place in the 1900 block of W. Lafayette Ave.
Monroe did not know Tuesday night if the officers returned fire.
