City police have identified a 19-year-old man who was shot and killed on a Park Heights Avenue parking lot in Northwest Baltimore on Friday morning, a department spokeswoman said.
Jose Estrella of the 2700 block of Oswego Ave. was found injured, lying between cars on the parking lot of the Jenny Beauty Supply/Food City store, police said.
Det. Nicole Monore, a police spokeswoman, said officers were called at about 10:30 a.m. to the parking lot in the 4000 block of Park Heights Ave. near Shirley Avenue. She said that Estrella had been inside the food store before he was shot.
Estrella was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Monroe said.
Police have no suspects.
Estrella was found guilty in December of drug distribution charges and sentenced to one year and nine months in prison, according to electronic court records.
He faced other, more serious charges, ranging from attempted first-degree murder and assault in 2008, but was not convicted.
