A broken water main on East Cold Spring Lane at the edge of Morgan State University's campus has been repaired, a Baltimore public works spokesman said Wednesday morning.
The street will remain closed, however, in both directions between Hillen and Harford roads until crews are able to resurface the roadway, said the spokesman, Kurt Kocher. Drivers should use Echodale Avenue or 32nd Street as a detour.
The break was reported about noon Tuesday in the 1800 block of E. Cold Spring Lane. Several other breaks have occurred in that area in recent years, so public works engineers are working on a permanent solution, Kocher said.
