Three men injured in separate shootings across Baltimore

Two days after 38-year-old Hezikah Wilson III, who has autism, was shot and killed outside his mother's home in the quiet Hamilton Hills neighborhood of Northeast Baltimore, there was another shooting one street over, this time self-inflicted, according to police.

It was the first of at least three nonfatal shootings recorded overnight into Wednesday morning. Few details were immediately available.

An adult man shot himself just before 9 p.m. in the 5600 block of Pioneer Drive in Hamilton Hills, according to police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. At about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Wilson was shot by an unknown assailant as he stood inside his mother's fenced lawn in the 5600 block of Plymouth Road with the family dog, a Maltese named Quincy.

Another man was shot twice Tuesday — in the right thigh and scrotum — about 10:45 p.m. in the 3200 block of Pelham Ave., police said. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

And at about 1:45 Wednesday morning, a third man, who was shot in the right arm, walked into the Bon Secours hospital on West Baltimore Street.
