Two shootings in city overnight

A 20-year-old man suffered five nonfatal gunshot wounds Friday, including one to the face, at about 7 p.m. at the intersection of Smallwood Street and Clifton Avenue, police said. The man was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition. Police said they had no suspect or motive in the shooting and did not give the man's name.

At 4:30 Saturday morning, a man suffered a gunshot wound to the head in the 2400 block of Ashland Avenue and subsequently died, police said. No further information was available.

On Friday morning around 10:25, a pedestrian was struck at Bel Air Road and Erdman Avenue by a vehicle that left the scene. The vehicle was later recovered, but the driver was at large, police said. The victim's injuries are unknown. Police said accident investigators were called to the scene.
