Man stabbed in N.W. over football bet, police say

A man was stabbed several times Thursday night in Northwest Baltimore during a fight over a debt from a bet on a football game, according to Baltimore police.

Officers went to a hospital just before 7 p.m. to speak with the victim, who had walked in with stab wounds, said spokesman Detective Kevin Brown. The man told police the incident took place in the 4100 block of Amos Avenue, Brown said.

Investigators are looking for suspects in the case, he said.
