Two shot and wounded in Baltimore early Saturday

Two men were wounded in separate shootings early Saturday morning in Baltimore, police said.

Shortly after midnight, police received a call for a shooting in the 5100 block of Grantley Ave. in Northwest Baltimore. Officers found a 51-year-old man who had been shot in the stomach and a knee. He was taken to an area hospital where he was in critical condition, police said. Police did not have a suspect or motive in the attack.

Later in the morning, a 42-year-old man walked into the Central District police station in downtown Baltimore suffering from a gunshot wound to an arm. The man told police he had been shot during an attempted robbery at nearby Old Town Mall.

The victim was taken to an area hospital; his condition was not available.
