A man who was shot Monday in the Dundalk area has died of his injuries, according to Baltimore Police.

The incident was reported at 5:33 p.m. in the 1700 block of Kane Street, police said. An officer found a man with a gunshot wound in his chest.

The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:10 p.m., police said.

They have tentatively identified him but are waiting for confirmation before releasing his name, police said.

Kane Street is in an industrial area with a bar and a restaurant; there have been two homicides this year within blocks on the Baltimore County side.
