Baltimore Police are investigating two nonfatal shootings in the northeast and southwest districts, police said.

A 17-year-old woman was shot in the left arm and shoulder Thursday night in the 3100 block of Belair Road in the Belair-Edison community, according to police. An officer responded at 10:43 p.m. and found medical crews already treating the victim. Based on preliminary information, she was inside the house when someone began shooting through the front door, police said.

The victim was being treated at a local hospital.

Police also responded at 1:40 a.m. to the 5000 block of Dickey Hill Road to a report of a shooting of a 19-year-old man.

Police say the victim was approached by an unknown man in the Wakefield neighborhood who shot him after a brief conversation.
