Child on bicycle fatally struck by vehicle in city

A 12-year-old boy riding a bike was fatally stuck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in West Baltimore, a police department spokesman said.

The child was struck shortly after 4 p.m. at the intersection of Windsor Mill Road and Lyndhurst Avenue in the Windsor Hills neighborhood, said Detective Kevin Brown.

The 12-year-old was taken to an area hospital and was later pronounced dead, Brown said. His identity was not released Thursday afternoon.

The identity of the driver was not released.
