A 23-year-old man was shot in the head Monday night in East Baltimore, according to city police.
Officers responded to a call for shots fired in the 2000 block of N. Wolfe St. at about 10:30 p.m. and found a man sitting on a front porch, suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to an area hospital where he underwent surgery and remains in critical condition, according to police.
Police say an unknown suspect approached the victim, pulled out a gun and fired at the man before fleeing. Police have no description of the suspect.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene.
About an hour later, an unidentified man was shot in the 3400 block of Wabash Ave. in Northwest Baltimore, police said. The man sustained a graze wound to the head and was treated and released at an area hospital, according to police.
