Baltimore Police investigators believe speed and alcohol may have been factors in a crash on Perring Parkway on Sunday that killed a 6-year-old boy and injured seven others, a spokesman said.
The boy, Jaeden Dulin of the 1500 block of Sheffield Road, was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital, said spokesman Detective Jeremy Silbert.
The SUV had been traveling southbound in the 6400 block of Perring Parkway at about 6 p.m. when it lost control, crossed the median and flipped several times, landing in the northbound lanes of the 6500 block of the parkway, Silbert said.
Several passengers were thrown from the SUV, and all eight were taken to hospitals, he said.
The investigation has not been completed, but speed appeared to be a factor in the crash, as well as possibly alcohol, Silbert said.
