A 6-year-old passenger in a sport utility vehicle that crashed Sunday on Perring Parkway has died, Baltimore City police said.
Detective Jeremy Silbert, a police spokesman, also said accident investigators are considering speed and "possibly alcohol" as factors that might have contributed to the crash. He did not release the victim's name or any other details.
The SUV was traveling south when it crossed the median strip near Woodbourne Avenue about 6 p.m. Sunday and went airborne. Several passengers, including teenagers and children, were ejected during the one-vehicle crash, and eight medic units from the city and Baltimore County treated patients at the scene. Eight people, including the young victim who died, were treated for injuries, including fractures, cuts and bruises, some of them life-threatening.
